Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get...

Its been some time since i got emotional watching a movie, the last one i guess was blood diamond featuring Di Caprio, this time its Forrest Gump.Directed by Robert Zemeckis,Forrest Gump is a gem of movie which portrays the life of Forrest, played by Tom Hanks,a gardener from Albama who coincidently becomes famous in whatever he does "just like that".

In the film he falls in love with his only childhood friend,a girl named Jenny, who has absolutely no control over her life.On several occasions he asks her to marry him only to get disappointed every time.Jenny does marry him finally only its too late by then. All throughout his remarkable journey he remembers Jenny,of how she gave him strength and confidence in life and never forgets what she once told him "..Forrest when you feel you are in danger, dont try to be brave, just run..".

When everyone around him felt he was stupid and dumb,Forrest shows how innocence and goodness at heart can change your life,He becomes famous as a football player in college and later also as a ping pong player. He serves the nation by fighting in the Vietnam war for which he even wins the medal of honor.Later he becomes a billionaire with his shrimp business and finally becomes an inspiration to many as a runner for crossing the whole of America on foot. And all this he does not expecting any fame or riches, but just because he felt like doing so.

The movie has some classy dialogues like the one in which Forrest's mama tells him.."Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get..."

Some of the scenes really touch your heart like the one when Jenny shows Forrest his son when he comes to meet her and also the one later in the movie where Forrest, after Jenny's death, goes to her grave to give her the letter which their son wrote.

Forrest Gump is a brillianty taken movie with some really good performances especially the one by Tom Hanks. Finally it also conveys to the audience the importance of love and innocence at a time when its ceasing to exist.

Jenny relly takes advantage of him, doesnt she.. Poor thing he is so innocent tht he is incapable of realising it.. After watching Terminal and Forrest Gump,I cant help thinking tht Tom Hanks is indeed innocent, sweet, gentlemanish, gud at heart guy..
